5 Ways to Boost Your Body's Metabolism
Before we get started I just want you guys to know what is ‘Metabolism’. Metabolism is all the chemical processes in our body, especially those that cause food to be used for energy and growth. To define it simply it’s your body’s speed on pooping every day. Way back when I was a college sophomore, I’m finally progressing to lose weight because I was extremely fat back then. I lost weight because I skipped meals and I don’t eat during dinner. Then, there is such consequences on skipping meals and not eating properly. I experience that I did not poop for 2 days and when toilet time came all I can excrete are pebble poops that is not helping me to be lighter and more efficient. I figured out a way on how you should have a faster metabolism and here are some solutions.
1. Drink 7-8 glasses of water everyday
Water helps maximize our physical performance and excrete unwanted toxins in our body. If we do not stay hydrated, physical performance can suffer. Dehydration can have a noticeable effect if you lose as little as 2% of your body's water content. Optimal hydration has been shown to prevent this from happening, and may even reduce the oxidative stress that occurs during high intensity exercise. This is not surprising when you consider that muscle is about 80% water
2. Drink C-lium Fiber Fiber is of vital importance to digestion; it helps the body move food through the digestive tract, reduces serum cholesterol, and contributes to disease protection. Also known as bulk and roughage. C-lium Fiber is filled with that. Here’s the process of intake: Buy a powdered sachet, mix it with ice tea or any cold beverage (exception: soda, milo, and milk), once mixed, bottoms up! For the fiber supplement to be effective you need to drink 8 glasses of water during that day.
3. Egg whites Egg whites are rich in branched-chain amino acids, which keep your metabolism stoked, says Chicago nutritionist David Grotto, RDN. Eggs are also loaded with protein and vitamin D.
4. Coffee Studies report that the caffeine found in coffee can help increase metabolic rate by up to 11%. In fact, six different studies found that people who consume at least 270 mg of caffeine daily, or the equivalent of about three cups of coffee, burn an extra 100 calories per day. Furthermore, caffeine may also help your body burn fat for energy and seems especially effective at boosting your workout performance.
5. Dark chocolate
Cacao and cocoa are tasty treats that may also benefit your metabolism. Interestingly, one study suggests that dark chocolates may prevent the action of enzymes necessary to break down fat and carbs during digestion. In doing so, dark chocolate could theoretically play a role in preventing weight gain by reducing the absorption of some calories
